The true love for the circus and its traditions was vibrantly fostered by Prince Rainier III of Monaco. An ardent admirer of the classic circus arts, Prince Rainier took it upon himself to establish the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo back in 1974, intending to uplift the traditional circus arts and the families that continually keep the magic alive.
